February 9-13: What's Happening in Kindergarten This Week?

This week is full of lots of learning, fun and activities.  It's going to be a busy week in K-Crew land.  Take a look below.

Progress Reports go home on Thursday

We are having our first Daddy Daughter Dance on Thursday, February 12th starting at 6:30.  It doesn't have to be a daddy, just someone important in our little girls lives.
On Friday, starting at 10:00 our K-Crew will be having I Love Math followed by our Valentine's Day Party.  We hope to see all of you in our classrooms Friday, for a day full of love and learning.
What are we learning.......
This week's Focus wall for Reading.

This week is a review week for Reading for our Sight Words.  As you see above, we have learned many, many words. Please practice with your child each night their words.  It will help them so much in the classroom.  We have completed all the words through Unit 4.

Letter: Ii
Practice with them listening for Ii at the beginning and middle of a word.  i and e are so easily confused with our kindergarten kids.

Stories and Writing:
Along with the stories listed above we will be reading Valentine's Day books and making Valentine's Day Crafts.  We will be writing I love sentences and making cards.

Math:
In math we will be review and assessing.  Please continues to work with your child on counting to 100, writing numbers, counting sets and adding and subtracting.

Looking forward to a great week in Kindergarten.
The K-Crew
